it depends on what type of IBS i assme your meaning irritable bowel syndrome...keep a food diary, and what foods aggrivate the issue.

as for the other IBS (inflamatory bowel syndrome) same thing, but you will be limited as to what you can eat more so than that of ibs (irritable bowel syndrome)

as for either disease, suppliments are not the way to go as too much can cause more an issue than that of none!

Imodium and any other stuff taken are only going to "mask" the real problem and not fix it. Just like when doctors throw medication at you. It will only treat the symptom and not the cause of your symptoms.

Yes, some of the cleansers and teas out in the market can help, but if you continue to eat the food or foods that are making u sick then you will be right back where you started.

Your IBS is your own body telling you you have a food(s)allergy/intolerance.
Everyone of us have some sort of food intolerance in one form or another.
The types of food you eat have everything to do with IBS and can be fixed quite easily simply by eating well balanced whole foods. Try eliminating certain foods from your diet that are suspect and look to see how you feel after you stop eating them. You might find there are many different foods or drink that are causing the problem.

Definitely increase your "water" intake to the recommended 8 to 10 glasses a day as this will help also.

Look for what is "causing" the symptoms, don't just "mask" the symptoms.
This can hold true for anything in life too. :)

Keep a food diary to learn your food triggers. Most people with IBS are lactose intolerant and also need to avoid foods with mannitol or sorbitol. As far as meds, Beano for bloating. Fiber supplements. There are two kinds of IBS. First kinda causes constipation, so increased fiber and water can help. The second is diarrhea, so Imodium would work for that. Diet will help the most. If symptoms bad, see doctor cause there are meds that help, Bentyl or Librax for spasms.
