The anthem for the United Kingdom is God save the Queen which I have never liked. I find it patronising and insulting . Land of hope and glory is a better choice but who would change it? The government won't and they don't listen to us so I think we are stuck with it for the time being at least.

The British National Anthem is God save the Queen! Again a British fact getting mixed up as an English one! It is our national anthem and as such we are stuck with it, but there are worse national anthems out there.

Yes it is a bit dated but so is Land of hope and glory if it were to change would it not be better getting a newly composed and written one altogether?

I think as long as we're a monarchy, the national anthem should be the one we've been using since 1744. if we ever change to a republic then obviously the national anthem should change, but in a world where so much is changing, there are some traditions we should maintain, if just to have something to pass onto future generations.
there is a lot about the english pagan past that historians have to extrapolate from scottish, irish and welsh history because the english have always been quick to let go of the past for the sake of what might be around the corner, this is very frustrating as the celts were so fanatic about thier history in other countries, we should always hold onto some traditions, especially in the face of change, how are we ever supposed to have pride in our national identity if it's constantly changing?

Land of hope and Glory has the line 'Mother of the Free' as one of the last countries to abolish slavery this grates with most and thus not a good idea as with 'Rule Britannia' and the 'Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

'Jerusalem' Ran into trouble with the Church some years back and with those in the North of the country due to the line 'Dark Satanic mills'. This is still one of my favourites.

Whilst Britain has a monarchy we will have a national anthem. I don't mind the words to ours, if only they could liven up the tune a bit, give it a bit of beat or something, it is such a dirge I fall asleep when it is being played, so I think keep the national anthem but have a different tune that is more lively.
