It seems crazy, we would all be better off for having a world with more love in it so why do we all continue to bicker and battle when pulling together would make us a better and stronger in this world.

It is because people fear that the value of love is decreased if it is over expressed, if it is said every hour of the day, the words "I love you" become little more than a lame catch-phrase.

The majority of people also believe that it isn't right to positively appraise someone unless there is a motive behind the compliment. Like you probably wouldn't comment on a street cleaners good work, because you would either appear insincere, sarcastic, or trying it on for something in return.

It is a sad fact of life, that most of us only give when we expect to recieve.

Our needs and desires so often compete that it is inevitable that there should be conflicts between people.

And most people do not share the same core identities, usually because of cultural differences.

Usually, however, these can be managed through existing social structures or else simply ignored. This is often the case on an international plane too.

When resources are placed under pressure then there will, almost inevitably, be conflicts.

because to many people have been hurt and are too afraid to try again and then end up hurting more people eho in turn hurt more. its a cycle. people also believe in only opne type of love and thats wrong if we looked at love as somthing we can share with even a stranger the world would be a better place.

I believe God is love (He said so in the Bible - 1John 4:7 & 8 ).
Faith is a chance worth taking - I wouldn't have wasted all these years on a feeling.

Since we are living in a fallen state, "love" seems to escape those who for some reason of another cannot see nor hear.

God IS Love and very real too, and waiting beside you..
It has to start somewhere, one heart at a time...

The assumption that there is a lack is shared by many who, are likewise unable to grasp that what appears to be a lack of love is an abundance of ego. No scarcity of love, simply an over supply of ego. The tendency to judge what appears to be as something other than it is, is simply an issue of insufficient evolution.

I know what you mean, the world today is too cynical. Then again, there have always been wars in every century the Earth has existed.

People snort at this idea of everyone loving each other, what would they prefer? Everyone hating each other?

Nice theory. Reality is crueller. Love, like all other valuable assets is about the allocation of rare resources. It's rare to be loved unconditionally, so treasure it if it happens.
