They must be very old by now - I thought they all died out a few decades back!
If I were you (and I must say I'm glad I'm not!), I'd just wait them out - they'll pass on soon to the Big Red Revolution in the SKy, then you can just vacuum them up and be done with them. Please be sure to mark the bag "hazardous waste" though. We don't won't anyone catching far leftism.

Don't use Raid - you'll have to smell the stuff afterwards. Use Visine instead - it gets the "red" out!
