I do NOT have to tolerate and accept what you are doing. I just have to forgive you, as does God, if you stop sinning. If you continue to sin - I DON'T have to accept it.
Gays, pro-abortion people, unwed promiscuous mothers, man-whores - do NOT have to embrace you.
Love the sinner, not the SIN!

Again corogryph - lovely answer - you should be a conservative. Yes I read a lot of your answers and you do not always, if ever, agree with us...yes - I know.

Common Sense - I think the deviants of society try to FORCE us to accept their "bad" behavior so that they will seem more mainstream. I think GAY PRIDE parades and abortion activism are ways in which people want to bring this behavior out in the open and make it seem like "everyone is doing it" so you HAVE to accept it.

In one way we should recognize that God allows complete freedom to individuals ... for a time. And so we should allow them to do silly and stupid things, and worse even. But we should also warn them. (If you saw a blind person about to step off a steep cliff, shouldn't you warn her?)

If we see the world going to "Hell in a shopping cart", should we just keep quiet or should we sound warnings??

At the personal level, there isn't any reason why we should have to tolerate and accept bad behavior ... not in our home, not in our automobile, etc.

And why should Christians have their rights and freedoms infringed?

example:
On the evening news (U.S.A.) 27 June 2005, in the report about the removal of the "Ten Commandments" from governmental sites in the U.S.A., an "atheist" is shown expressing her approval because they (atheists) should have the "freedom of expression". But in so doing she is seeking to deny those of the Jewish and Christian Faiths from "freedom of expression" in public!

No, you do not have to approve of what people are doing if you don't like it. You do not have to embrace them.

But you also don't get to impose your personal or religious beliefs on everyone else as a matter of law. Just because your religion considers an action sinful doesn't mean all religions do so.

And at least in the US, the govt is not allowed to choose sides and declare your religion correct and other religions to be wrong.

Yes exactly, while we may not agree with someone's chosen lifestyle, that does not mean we do not love or forgive the person.Loving someone does not mean we have to embrace their lifestyle choices.People get the wrong perception of Christians.I am against abortion so if a friend of mine chose to have it done there is no way I would hold their hand through it,i would forgive them and ask God to have mercy on them, pray for them..same with Gays,U wont see me going to any gay rights marches, and that does not make me intolerant!

Without being argumentative or confrontational...
What difference does your tolerance or intolerance make to me ?
What difference does your acceptance make ?
What do I care about what you think ?
I am merely playing the devils advocate...
I am just making a point....
People don't care if you tolerate and accept them or not...
So you can do as you wish...No one cares...

I don't really think they care... Bad people don't have a conscience...They only worry about their needs... It's sad that the world has become this way....
