Not necessarily! A good thing is different for everyone, just like "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Whats not good for one may be a good "leftover" for another.
Its all relative!

Not necessarily, imagine you are waiting to pluck an apple from a tree, evveryone before you has picked the apples from the lower branches, that were the easiest to reach, but probably the most likely to be worm infested, leaving the younger, and probably tastier apples nearer the top of the tree for those that have waited...

Your question seems vague. It seems to imply that the rewards that some people eventually get are due to the efforts of people before them ('standing on the shoulders of giants' as the Oasis album is called- they could claim to have stood on the shoulders of 60s music (not just The Beatles).
If your question meant that, though, it wouldn't seem to matter when people got their rewards.
If you are referring to relationships as some people here have thought you are, some good relationships are people's firsts. Relationships leave their mark on some people for better or worse.
Some good things seem to come to people regardless of how good or bad they are but some priceless things can only be truly enjoyed by the good.

No, those who get there first are usually after worldly things and take no consideration for the eternity. Life on Earth is such an insignificant blip when compared with the eternity. I can wait for true riches instead of being satisfied with petty baubles.

Could be you're correct. but there's a song entitled 'Grandmothers Chair' which does explain some aspect of this.
The family got there first after the old lady died, and they sorted through what 'they each wanted,' leaving him the 'old' armchair - in which (if memory serves me) was her last Will & Testiment, leaving everything to 'him.'
There's the moral in it, but I figure if I'd have to race to be there first, or have to struggle or fight for it, then I really don't want it. I'm not going to either demean myself or behave that badly in order to 'win' anything (material).
I don't have that much energy.
Bascially, you'd appear to be correct.
Sash.

I know of some women who save the best piece on their pudding plate for the last bite.
What the greedy people get first is often a poisoned chalice.
Look before you leap!

Not always so. Think about the times you've wanted something so bad you could taste it. You didn't get it but next thing something else comes along and you realise how much better this is for you than what you really wanted!! This has happened to me as few times, maybe fate or whatever knows better.

No, those are leftovers. The good things were not put out until after the greedy had already gone.

thats a good point, but not always true. im assuming your talking about relationships so ill address that. just because someone isnt a virgin or they are divorced doesnt make them leftover. some people truly dont realize what they had, and give it up. so to answer your question:
technically, yes
but actually, no
technically anyone who has had more than one boyfriend/girlfriend can be considered a leftover
