What is it that makes a certain name brand so coveted that we spend upwards of $500 on something that could otherwise cost us about $50? In reality these brands aren't made "better" or even designed "better" ,but we fork over the cash anyway to have that oh so precious tag. I can't knock it too much because I've found myself guilty of this on occassion. I'm just interested as to what makes these specific tags so special. Things like louis Vuitton and Dooney and Bourke, do these names make things seem more special than had it been some generic manufacturer?
