Some say head's up while others say tail. I'm soooooo confused.

Tails. Definately tails. It's cooler anyway. But if you see one on heads, flip it over, or those crazy Abraham Lincoln fanatics will come after you and tell you how to put the power back into the penny..... : )

A long time ago my great aunt told me that if I see a penny that is heads up, for long lasting good luck, pick it up. But if the penny is laying heads down don't pick it up, just turn it 'round. The next person who sees it heads up should pick it up and then we BOTH share the luck!
I miss that great aunt...she was always ready to tell stories.

imagine if the penny was a person....if they greet you with their eyes looking at you that's a bit more of an indicitive "good" luck practice....on the otherhand if they greet you with their @ss wouldn't you be inclined to keep on moving?
If you pick up the tails up penny, you can easily kiss the heads side and turn its luck around.
however there is a loophole in it. since money is money and the idea of picking up someone else's money might be seen as a bad thing....don't.
Or if the idea of picking up pennies from heaven might be a good sign in your favor....do.

As a kid is was told heads up. I told my dad who grew up in a coldwater flat in the newark projects and he said any penny you find is good luck.
See a peny pick it up all day long youll have good luck

mine, it has neither heads or tails. It looks like it has been run over by a train several times, a good luck charm is all its good for. So far, so lucky.
