The world isn't controled by Barney the purple dinosaur, they don't love us and we don't love them. You need strength inleadership to meet the challenges out there. We should sacrifice only what we must. Like our dependance on foreign oil, laws against hemp farming, pork projects that drain our tax money for political reasons. Basically things that drag us down rather than lift us up.

Selfishness... Don't misunderstand me, it's not about the American people, and it's not only about America but Europe too. The technological advance and the subsidies kill the ecenomy of developing countries. Instead, the money should be used to develop those countries and to introduce greener technologies.
