I can't directly answer your question, but have a suggestion on how to find the answer. The Cougar Inn is still listed in some directories, but no way of knowing how old they are. Since I had not heard of it til now, I don't know, though I have been to the area.

Anyway, call or email the Leavenworth, WA area Chamber of Commerce, or even the City Hall, and ask them. They will most certainly be able to answer all your questions.

As far as I know the Cougar Inn was bought by Paul Allen who turned it into an enormous personal compound, thereby killing the one real local spot in Lake Wenatchee and beginning its transformation to Microsoft Mansion land.

I'll never forget childhood summers at the Coug, being chased out of the bar area :)

I thought The Cougar Inn was owned by Tom Olson and his wife. Perhaps it was Jodi. She had 2 sons that worked there. They also had a little girl. Tom was a long time friend and we spent lots of week-ends there after he bought the place. Prior to that he owned the Overland Express in Lynnwood. He died way too young!!!. I was sorry when the Cougar Inn was bought out by someone in Microsoft and became private - It was the end of wonderful times.
