I tried fixing the problem by changing it under construction but then still it wont run

i dont want to tear it down b/c it is a HUGE custom thing

That's always worked for me?! Try doing it a couple times to reset it....sometimes it is best to tear them down b/c "people" won't ride them too much after a crash....

You really have to tear it down. Also, even if it did work, people wouldn't ride it, knowing there had been an accident. I had to same problem when I modified one of the premade tracks - 16 people died when the train jumped the track. The line for the ride disappeared, and there was no way to fix it.

Your best bet is to save the design, which is available to do under the roller coaster information that pops up when you click on it, then demolish it, and rebuild it from the saved design.

Otherwise, it will not reopen or the people in the park will never ride it.
