muscle weighs more than fat. if you look good it doesn't matter what you weigh

Don't worry about the number! I have the same trouble. I am about 5' 6 1/2 and I weigh 130lbs. but people tell me I am too skinny. I see celebrities in magazines who are the same height as me and the article will say they weigh like 105, I can't imagine myself being 105, I would have no chest and not butt, I would look anorexic! Just keep doing what you are doing, exercising and watching what you eat and stay just the weight you are, I'm sure you are a very healthy and attractive weight!

Where in the world did you ever think that the scale would be sayong you are fat if you weigh 123 lbs and you are 5'6". You really might want to check into therapy before you get sick. It is a good weight and it is not too fat or too skinny. And go to a different doctor if he doesn't tell you the same thing.

Who cares what the scales says, you obviously look very thin. I wish I looked like what the scale says. It says I'm 120lb, but people on here have guessed me at 30lb heavier, imagine how that feels.

For your height, your weight is ideal, you must look tiny for people to guess you at 105lb. Anyway, if you really were 105lb, you would actually be underweight! Just be happy with the way you are, you can always lie about your weight if it makes you feel better. It probably is muscle too, your measurements are more important than your weight and unless you have 38 inch hips like me, you have nothing to worry about! lol

Take care : )

You really shouldn't worry about what the scale says. You do not want to loose any weight just so the scale says something because that would not be healthy. The thing that really matters is if you are healthy, that you eat right and you exercise.

If you can run 5 miles everday, I won't worry about anything.

Please don't let that number upset you. Try a different number - how about your dress size? I wear a dress size of 10 or 12 and I am tall and slim. Fashion models wear a size 8 usually. At your size, what are you a 1 or a 2? That is super skinny - even a 4 or a 6 is still quite thin.

Here is something else I have found: The ideal weight for someone your size is 117 -143 lbs. according to this site: http://www.weightlosssurgeryinfo.com/dtcf/pages/HeightWeightChart.htm?pgn=2
You are surely on the low end there.

And according to this site http://www.healthdiscovery.net/links/calculators/body_mass_index.htm you are at or below the correct mass.

Peace!

You are a healthy young woman.

Skinniness and weight are not mutually exclusive.

Did you know that the models in Madrid are now required to be of a certain BMI because they do not want to make young women think that skinny is beautiful.

I think skinny is overrated and ugly.

I also think that being fat has been defined by fashion magazines as way to close to what is actually normal for someone your age and height.

I have counseled many women on a number of subjects. Contact me if you like and we can talk more. [See my profile].

Remember these words and repeat them daily:

I am not fat!

I am healthy!

My smile is beautiful!

okay so the scale means more than others and the mirror. you may need some councilling to sort out some body issues. you also have to take into account intersticial fat or fat around organs which is very beeneficial to your body to have thsoe reserves. be happy that people think you weigh less than you do i means you carry your self well and look good no matter the weight

That is a very good weight for you. Don't fall to peer pressure. You should never feel like your fat; the media just wants us to think that way. If your butt and hips and stomach are a little pudgier that's good thing. You're not fat you're feminine. You need that extra weight to become pregnant. If you work out too much and your body fat percentage falls really low you can start to lose your periods. Don't feel fat.

It doesn't matter what you weigh 123 pounds isn't a lot anyways. Why do you care what people think anyways. I know it's hard not too but if you look good it doesn't matter and if you tell them your weight they won't ever mess with you because you would probably win.
