The human mentality of war has not changed over the ages, only the weaponry

Other animals fight (and have sex for the others).
War isn't really a "defining" characteristic, particularly among the apes (chimps have wars).
What does seperate us from the apes (and I'm not going to bring any religeous stuff here) is:
1. We talk
2. We share food (this is a big defining character - none of the apes do)
3. We drink alcohol
So (only slightly jokingly) the ultimate human activity is:
- Having a barbecue with the neighbours
- Drinking beer
- Talking sh1t
And you know what, I think we do that just as well as war!

conflict exists everywhere, man is one of the few creatures to organize it on a large scale. But unlike ants, which is the other specie that wages war, man has not yet universally institutionalized it.

yup no other living creature can create such destruction as we do. but we're also very good in making love, personally i prefer making love to making war. peace!
