I hope those who answered have successfully solve this problem on themselves so as to be able to give some effective exercise tips for my teenage niece who is crazy of getting rid of those flabbiness that prevent her from wearing sleeveless dresses or blouses. She has been on diet and has since slimmed down losing almost 20kg in 3 mths, but her flabby upper arms did not improve much. She needs some good and proven arms exercise tips to work on.

1. excessive weight-lifting will only turn the fat in the flabby arms into muscles, which in turn causes her arms to look bigger and fatter.

2. one of my besties told me she did 10 push-ups daily for a few months and her arm slimmed down. 10 is the maximum. any more will only result in bigger arms like what i've mentioned above.

3. a very popular beauty talk show in Taiwan, "Nu Ren Wo Zui Da" mentioned that massaging the arms daily while putting moisturiser can help to slim down the arms, reduce flabbiness and at the same time helps you to get good skin as you are applying moisturiser onto your skin. this method also applies to thighs and calves.

4. using skincare products that contains seaweed or sea mineral salts helps to slim down your body slightly as it helps to reduce your body's 'bloated-ness' caused by water retention.
you may also apply seaweed body mask onto the flabby arms and wrap it with 'plastic wrap' (the kind you use to wrap up containers storing food) for half an hour.

5. being fat may be due to your body having too many toxins. passing out waste matter and perpiring does not remove all toxins in your body.
try this method: squeeze one GREEN lemon and add the lemon juice into a 500ml bottle of water and drink it first thing you do when you wake up every morning. this helps your body to flush out toxins more easily.
this method is taught by a famous Chinese DJ, DongFang Billy, from 97.2fm in Singapore. It has worked for many people.

6. if all the above doesn't work, the problem of flabby arms may be due to hereditary factors.
it's alright to wear sleeveless apparels even when you have flabby arms. i have slightly flabby arms and i wear them all the same too! look at the girls on the street, most of them do not have perfectly toned arms but they still wear sleeveless stuff.
be confident!
and good luck. =D

p.s. losing 20kg within 3months is really unhealthy. it is most important to maintain a balanced diet!

try getting like a long stretchy band tie in a knot around the foot then place other end in hands. Then tell her to bend her knees slightly then in counts of 8 pull up for about 5 sets then rest and do however many mor eshe can handle, but dont over do it or youll be super sore!! i had the same problem and did these excercises when i had flab on my arms and now i actually have a little muscle, its great on the abs too!! ( oh, and it will be hard to do the first couple of times but it gets easier, just tell her to stick to it and it will work out for the best!!, good luck to her)

Buy some dumb bells, a DVD tape on weights and start working those arms. Or join a gym and use the weight machines that you can work out with your arms, ask the trainers at the gym to give you a work out to firm your arms. After a while you can start wearing those sleeveless tops with some great arms.

Lift weights. If she feels it pulling on her upper arms more than lower, then it is working. Start slow--building up is the best way to do it. There are numerous books based on this exact topic. I'm sure there are also a ton of websites, and teen magazines cover this topic constantly.

Exercise more. Lots of upper body and arm/shoulder exercises.

Eat less.

Accept her body as it is.

Face it, some people are born ugly - what do they do? Wear a veil?

she needs to exercise. Go to a gym and do some weights. There are specific machines that will concentrate on specific areas of the body. She would just need to ask someone about which machines to work on to target those underarms.

do you remember the Callenetics excercises back in the 80s? Their upper arm stuff worked really well and can be done anywhere, anytime

Lift dumbbells , they really help in toning the muscle n convert the fat which is there into muscle. She could join a gym otherwise, n get the instructors there to help her out. But the dumbbells really work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
