Yahoo Answers is an international site and the English speaking areas it covers include England, Ireland, USA, Canada and Australia. When you log into Yahoo Answers from the UK and Ireland site your default settings for Show (underneath the categories) will let you see UK & Ireland Questions only. This can be changed to All English Questions. Anyone in any of the English speaking sites can do this also and see what kind of questions are being asked all around the world. Check to see which one is showing for you.
Anyone can also change which country area, or language they view Answers from, by clicking on the flags at the bottom of the screen. Try the Japanese one, it looks quite different from ours.

Many of them have no clue tha there is a UK & Ireland site. As usual they think that USA=the world.
It does matter when they tell a Brit to go to Walmart or Sears for something that they tell you costs $x....that proves that they have no idea that they are answering a UK & Ireland question.
Daft buggers...lol

It is all one big site, even Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Etc., are on here.
The main server simply translates and displays the questions and answers into the different languages.
If you click on a different country at the bottom of this page, you will see your avatar and your question in a different language.
