dstr - I LIKE to hear different opinions. Sometimes even I change my mind on an issue! I was just having fun with the whole Democrat under water thing. I would have laughed either way. It is amusing.

truth_teller - it is the republicans who have NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND. I do not like the Dems and education because the teacher's unions are corrupting their stance on education. Less time spent with student "contact" is all they seem to be fighting for (and more benefits).

It seems to me that both parties have flip-flopped their roles and ideals so much in the last 20 years. I now vote by candidate NOT party.

Note: It also seems to me that the other up and coming parties like green etc. will run into the same thing if/when they get popular. We should vote by platform of the individual and get rid of the party system.

Both the Democratic and Republican parties favor very large government, massive government expenditures, and high degrees of intrusive social controls.

There is nothing I like about either of those parties, as they exist now.

You make a joke of the murder of a democrat then ask a question like this?
You have very little credibility!
most of your posts have shown to me all you like about this forum is to find your own opinions echoed back to you.

I don't like anything about either parties. They are all a bunch of multimillionaires who are liars. They are there to satisfy the agenda of the rich and ignore the middle-class and the poor.
