a digital? Can you give me spesifics, not "basal is better" please. Thank you. I am TTC and charting my temp

The difference is in the way the thermometer calculates the digital read out of the temperature. Inside the computer chip of the basal, it calculates the temp to the nearest hundredth of a degree (2 decimal spaces) on the readout, it will only show one though...this makes the readout more accurate because it's looking to the hundredth to determine the tenth. The regular digital thermometer doesn't do this.

I requested an analogous question on the following after I first began TTC. an familiar digital theremometer will examine out surely 3 determination (ninety 9.9) and a particular BBT thermometer will examine out 4 numbers (ninety 9.ninety 9). That very last little determination is significant even as TTC and charting because it desires to be as precise as attainable. So the surely massive difference is they're more desirable precise because they have that more desirable determination.

I think a basal thermometer has (example: 97.50) and a digital only has (example: 97.5)...there is really nothing different! Just as long as it shows .0-.9, it shouldn't matter!!! Good luck TTC...

A basal may be longer to get up in there where the reading should be taken.

There is no siginificant different. What's important is that you chart your temperature, and see the difference in temp when you ovulate. The extra decimal point doesn't do anything special.
