your own car

You can do either, best to use whichever car you feel more comfortable driving. Driving instructors cars can cost quite a large fortune though, more than a second test would cost, so you could save a lot using your own. Also your own car won't have duel controls so the examiner will have to give you more leaway before taking action himself. They often do this just because they panic but it automatically means a fail. If you minimise their ability to take action unless it really is necessary then that is one less thing they can fail you with.

Yes you can use your own car if you wish, although it's not recommended. It's much better to use the instructors car or the car you are learning in.....The instructor car has dual controls, which makes the examiner more comfortable as he/she is able to stop the car safely if he/she feels in danger. It happened to my friend.....the examiner stopped her car and failed her....he got out and walked back to the test centre as he felt she was driving dangerously. It was awful for her, but safer in the long run. And she did pass eventually.
Good luck.....whatever car you choose.

better take the instructors car, they don't like when peope use their own car...trust me...they know that instructors car is in good working condition, they don't feel safe in your own car, so if you want to pass with no problems take instructors car...don't listen to people that say you can take your own car(they are right you can, but it doesn't mean that it's a right choice)

Yes you can take your driving test in your own car, but the car must be roadworthy ie taxed and MOT'd, and you must be insured to drive the vehicle as a learner driver

you can take your driving test in your own car provided it is road legal (insured, taxed, mot) and it has front seatbelts and head rests that are either ajustable or if fixed at a sutable height to stop whiplash, you must also have an extra interior mirror (most auto acessory shops stock them) for the use of the examiner.

I know this as Angel passed her test last year in my Land-Rover Discovery.

It doesn't matter, but best to take the test in the car you are learning in.

Unless the law has changed? you can use your own car / vehicle providing your insured. I worked for a car hire firm and took mine in a minibus!!
Good luck.

You are perfectly entitled to take the test in your own car if you wish. No problem about that at all.

If youre already insured on it then you can take it in your own car. Especially if you feel more comfortable in it!
