We had at one time a very intelligent GOOD President in Jimmy Carter. The Dept. of Energy was created under His admin. One of the main points of the DOE was to find alternative energy sources, there was incentive tax money for such things as solar energy, fuel from corn, Nuclear Energy, etc. but as other administration came in Big Oil and Big Business pretty well took over control of the DOE and tax breaks were given to drilling thousands of empty holes in the search for oil. Alternative energy was squashed. Now they are talking about alternative energy again. Did you know the Bush Admin. is now talking about fuel from corn (Ethanol). Do you know who is getting the tax breaks. How about GM and Ford for turning out alternative fuel autos that you cannot buy ethanol for outside the Midwest, these same autos are burning more gas than ever to compensate for the add ons to accommodate the ethanol capability. I am all for alternative fuel but do it right. Give the tax relief to the corp. and farmers that are creating this fuel give them billions in research grants, give them solar magnification technology to heat the boilers to cut the cost of mfg. this fuel. Start a Manhattan type project to stop our use of imported oil within 5 years. This will take a smart, good President, Senate and Congress. Vote in Nov. and Vote Smart and Good.....

But what if we're stuck with a stupid evil president?
And what's wrong with electing another intelligent good president?

Well, right now we have a stupid, evil president. So I think I'd like to give stupid/good a try. Of course, I would really like an intelligent/good - like Al Gore.

Why only two choices? It's a great big country with many great people.
The question is: How can we inspire ourselves to elect a President that is intelligent AND GOOD.

That's hard to say, since we have no previous experience to compare it to. Most of our presidents have been either just plain stupid or reasonably intelligent - that's it. Except for Clinton and Carter - I think they were both intelligent, and although Carter was also good, Clinton was a wesel - but good!

They say that too much information is dangerous, so Intelligent Evil would be bad.
Give me a good president that makes stupid mistakes any day, stupid mistakes usually aren't any where near as dangerous as planned evil.
