I am running Corel 10 and want to protect my digital photos. I heard there was an invisible signature possible. Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you so much..........Morgan

I know visualizer has a simple "watermark" feature that can be added into the photo :

Basically, be creative.

You can use the .tif's 4th channel. You can imprint an almost invisible watermark on top of the image. You could also imprint a visible signature (like your logo or something) that covers parts of the image, although it would disturb uncopying viewers quite a lot. You could also inserts a comment in the EXIF/IPTC information on some file formats (like JPEG/JPG) [as most typical users aren't even aware of this things, but more advanced one may delete it without any marks left]. You could also put a tiny little dot(s) on a side that is normally not visible unless you're specifically looking for it. You could also prevents them from being copied on the first place (although there's no way to guarantee you could prevent it from being copied at all). Basically, you just need to be creative. The less the world know how you make your signature, the less probable that your signature would be _deleted_ and claimed by others as their original work.

Or (you won't expect this), release the image as public domain or licenses that allows us to use the image, edit it, and relicense the image as "original photographed by you, edited by me".

There are several methods. But the most common 2: If you are saving your picture as a true .tif format, you just use the 4th channel (the alpha or transparency channel) for the signature. In photoshop, go to channels, choose the fourth channel and simply write your name in with a pen tool or selection
tool. Play with this and you'll see how it works.
There is also watermark software that leaves a
feint inpression on the image. Such a program is part of the standard filter set for all photoshops higher than 7.

Look in a photoshop manual for exact details of how to employ these...
