Sikhs (male and female) do not cut their hair as part of their religious worship.

You can do more with it than with short hair. You can braid it easier, put it in a ponytail, curl it, etc.... Most men seem to prefer longer hair. I know a lot that think short hair is fine. I always had mine long to my waist until about 7 years ago, I cut it to my shoulders. I have a longer type face and the mid-length looks better on me.
I have a male friend that is growing his long. He said he is never going to cut it again because he doesn't want to. I prefer men with short hair.

There is no specific purpose. It just looks better on certain people. Unless of course you look at the Sikh religion in which long hair is part of their beliefs.

defend oneself(who have long hair) by put a knife between the hair, form a beautiful face, protect head from cold weather or sun rays. That all I can think about.

I save money on hair cuts and it's the prettiest part of me. I heard men like long hair better, but I haven't noticed.

i think is a stupid question, but is the same purpose of short hair to protect ur brain. but hair make us look good too

I let mine down out of the tower window for my sweetheart to climb up.
Of course, I always give it a couple turns around a cleat to ensure I don't get my scalp torn off.
