No, I think it is a reasonable price considering all that it can do. In addition to being a gaming system it is also very much like a stand alone computer. It has a Blu-Ray player which can cost up to $2,000 if you buy a single player in a store like Best Buy or Circuit City. It can store just about anything and playing online will still be free. So keeping all that in mind I definetly say it is worth the money.

Considering in Europe its going to range from about £350 to £500 no I think $500 is a decent price

Heck yes it is!!! But on the bright side hopefully it will make the cost of playstation 2 games go down.
