Can't we pick both?

Lying to the American people & Congress about the justification to go to war seems MORE THAN ADEQUATE cause for impeachment. (uch more than a stained blue dress)

We are involved in a great propaganda struggle now. As the truth comes out that most of the alleged justifucations for this war weren't there, that we have created a chaos in the region that facillitates terrorism & civil strife, there are several themes of response from the administration:

First, what is done is done & now we're there & let's carry on (don't think about what lead up to it, it's old news).
Secondly, we've been doing a lot behind the scenes catching bad guys in ways you just don't know, we're still doing good even though the war in Iraq is going abysmally (don't think about torture & secret military camps or any of the other lies of omission and violations of Geneva Convention).
Thirdly, anyone who questions the administration is undermining confidence at home, in our allies, and in our fighting men & women & sends the wrong message to our enemies (that's sort of treasonous and makes you worthy of abuse, so stop that right now).
Forth, hey Congress voted to allow war, it's their fault too (just ignore that they were fed manipulated data to guarantee the vote)

I was wondering why the administration last week, after months of stone-walling, admitted to the secret camps & brought some high level detainees to Cuba. Then GWB stood in public and sort of admitted that the sanctions against Iraq maybe were working, and could have kept doing it. I thought, admitting to his critics claims is not like GWB, something big is coming that he's trying to distract from and soften some blow of.

Sure enough, within the week is the announcement that the Senate congressonal committee concludes the justification for was was not there. But only two Republicans sign on, and the others distance themselves.

The question is if GWB will be impeached, would be hard to do before the midterm elections as the Republicans won't want to come out against or for GWB or jeprodize their own election potential. But when GWB is in the last 2 yrs of term & things keep going poorly as they most certainly will, it's possible.

Then the propaganda will say don't distract the Commander in Chief during a war....

Since President Bush has not committed an impeachable nor a treasonous offense, neither can happen.

Perhaps you think the war on terror is not a just war.

Perhaps you have not weighed the facts carefully.

Fact 1: A faction of Islam believes Allah commands the destruction of the Infidel.

Fact 2: According to a faction of Islam, anyone not a Muslim is an Infidel.

Fact 3: A faction of Islam believe Allah commands the destruction of anyone not a Muslim.

Fact 4: On 9/11/2001, a group from a faction of Islam murdered 3,000+ innocent men, women and children because they believed those innocent men, women and children were Infidels.

Fact 5: The act taken in Fact 4 was committed on United States soil against citizens of the United States [and other countries], destroyed United States commercial property, and was an attack on a United States military installation [the Pentagon].

Fact 6: The act taken in Fact 5 was an act of war against the United States of America!

Fact 7: When attacked by foreign invaders, the President is empowered to act in the defense of the Nation.

Fact 8: The President consulted with and secured permission from the Congress to fight the War on Terror.

Fact 9: President William Jefferson Clinton lied under oath to a Congressional Committee ["I did not have sex with that woman."]

Fact 10: Liberal Democrats need to understand that William Jefferson Clinton is no longer Preseident, that George W. Bush is President, that Bush is acting in the best interests of not only the United States of America but also the world by waging the War on Terror.

Fact 11: Liberal Democrats will blame President Bush when a faction of Islam (a) crashes 10 jet-liners making trans-Atlantic flights, killing 4,000+ innocent men, women and children, (b) detonates an explosive device destroying a skyscraper and hundreds if not thousands of innocent men, women and children, (c) releases toxic gas in a suburban mall killing or maiming hundred or thousands of innnocent men, women and children, (d) detonates a dirty bomb in a major metropolitan area sufficient to kill or maim thousands if not tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children, resulting in nationwide panic, a nationwide call for martial law, and the resulting harm to the US and world economies.

Even though it would never happen, seeing him prosecuted for treason would be cool.

I think he should be forced to endure the shame of a Nixon-style impeachment!

Remember if Bush is gone Chaney becomes president and that is plain scary, so we may want to leave him a couple years and get a new start after that.

I look at it this way, he'd be impeached if he committed treason.

I'd like to see him honored for being the great president that he is that doesn't make decisions based on world opinions but instead, by what he truly believes is right, best, and safest for Americans.

Yeah BUSH! Love ya!
