I play videogames no more than maybe an hour and a half per day, BUT i spend almost all of my time at work and while doing other things thinking about them. People around me say that my videogames are detracting from the rest of my life. Am i an addict? or is it just them?

yes - it usually is associated with our personalities. so if you have an addictive personality you will find you can become easily addicted - so being aware of your weakness is the first step to recovery

Its probably an addict. But it is possible to be addicted and not play for a long time. I love Runescape and I haven't played it in about a month and a half.

You might be. Try going a week without them at all. If your totally freaked or about to pull your hair out then you probably are. What do you think?
