There's so much good in the world. SO MUCH. It overwhelms me sometimes. I guess I get inordinate joy out of really silly little things...the wind, standing in the rain, looking for constellations at night.
Even when people are involved...I think what's helped me there is getting involved myself. For example, I've been down to New Orleans a few times in the past year to work, and have gone with volunteer groups. Maybe there aren't a lot of people who would do this sort of thing, but I've made it a point to be involved with and surround myself with those who do.

I use two techniques. The first is comedy. Every time the stupidity and cruelty of the world start getting to me, I watch something like "The Life of Brain," and I start to lighten up.
The second is action. When my anger tank is overflowing, I use that as motivation to do something. It might be something like a major complaint campaign or as simple as picking up the trash my neighbors leave around the neighborhood, but it's doing something.

PEACEMAKER,
I liked your "maintaining a joyous vibration" phrase.
Think I'll jot it down so I can remember to use it in my conversations in the real world.
When facing corruption, prejudice, hatred, it's important that we try to deflect it, not reflect it.

Ride a Harley, baby....ride a Harley..... lots of carefree joyous vibrations.... and plenty of chicks too... what could be more therapeutic??? That is why you never see Harleys parked in front of a Psychologist's office... bikers provide our own therapy. We go out and see all the good in the world....it far outweighs the evil....

In the USA, buy a motor home and move when local pressure and neighbors get under your skin. Don't stay in one place (or even one country) very long.
