All keyboard springs are of the leaf type, and are very weak. When they lose tension from constant pressing on them, they wear out. Nothing can be done other than getting a new phone. Unless it is under warranty, repair costs are prohibitive.

Sorry to hear of your woe's bought Motorola for partner experienced difficulties sent back grrrr nightmare for customer service if its newish still under warranty then please give it back and feel relieved.
Or wait until your contracts up and get shot sharpish ,still any indication of problems with electronic goods is symptom of Manufacturing problem and you'd be wise to ditch the rav!
Good Luck!!!

Try changing your keypad, or get it looked at.
If all else fails, how 'bout a new phone?

Ask where you bought it, if there is no help, throw it away. May be, it is outdated/old and it is time to buy a new one!
