You could try some sandles, some flat slips ons, they can go with dresses and are a bit more casual. Also, maybe a skirt with a tee shirt. I have always felt that dresses are not casual but a skirt can be with the right shoes and the right shirt. And you can wear a shirt that is nice without being too fancy. Nice knits or spandex, love that, course I have breasts to show off lol. This kind of material can also be comfortable and cool as long as it's not too tight. Cotten breaths better of course but it's thicker. You can wear knee length or ankle length skirts, they are comfortable, and don't ride up as much as dresses. Make you feel more at ease in class.

Dress and heels are usually very sexy, providing the dress flatters your figure and is in a modern style. I would keep heels to 3 inches and below for daytime, as it's more practical and doesn't look over the top.
I often wear dresses or skirts with heels as it makes my legs look longer and I stand out. Jeans can be so boring! I often get lots of compliments, so strut your stuff sistah!

There is nothing negative about wearing a dress. As long as it's comfortable and you feel grate in it. The jeans have been in fashion for quite some time and have become the "safe" piece of a wardrobe. It's time women started wearing more feminine type of clothing. Wear what you like with pride and you will see how others will follow. -floreti.com

It's your style and there are no rules! Although college is extremely casual, it depends on where you are. My former best friend wears high heels with jeans to high school all the time. Maybe you can wear your cute high heels with jeans and a casual look to dress them down a little. But you can definitely rock them!

When I went to college, I went to class right after work. I had on business suits and dresses. Others in my class wore jeans and t-shirts and shorts. I had on pantyhose and high heels. No one treated me any differently except for maybe some additional respect because they knew I was coming from an actual job.
Don't sweat it. It's not strange.

Yeah, there were some girls in my classes that would dress up often for classes and where skirts and heels for no apparent reason. I did wonder why they felt the need to dress up and used to make fun of them (i mean why are you gonna go to class in stiletto heels? They looked like they were going out to teh club or something) while everyone else is in relaxed/everyday clothes or sweats. I mean it is your own preference. The only time I understood the girls dressing up is if they looked like they were dressing up b/c they had work after class that they had to dress for or an internship or something. If that is your situation then I wouldn't worry - that's commendable. But if you dress for class like you are going out to the club then that's a little ridiculous.

You are in College now, not High School. If you have the time and feel like dressing up, go for it. Everyone else is probably preoccupied with their own lives to worry about what you are wearing. Have fun. You are only young once.

No it isn't something people will look at negatively. Although you might have to put up with a number of questions of what formal stuff you do after every class.
Dressing up is often a indication of a job, interview, etc.
