Our local pound shop has boxes of Christmas cards, and Sainsbury's already has mince pies and loads of tins of Quality Street etc. Annoying.

yeah. next have got their christmas cards in already. What's the point? i know that people like to be organised but we don't want to be thinking about snow and spending all our money when we've just come back from sunning ourselves and spending a lot! WE HAVE NO MONEY FOR PRESSIES RIGHT NOW! people don't value christmas as much any more because there's such a big build up to it from the middle of august that by the time it arrives, it's a bit of a letdown.

Oh yes. Even our local corner shop has moved an entire shelf full of bread to make way for artificial Christmas trees. Ridiculous.

One shop in Doncaster had Christmas decorations and selection boxes etc for sale early in August.

Fortunately not - but here they seem to be 'banning' Christmas in case it upsets other religions, so maybe it will never arrive!

Mince pies in September? At least they haven't started selling them all year round. Yet...

Yep, I was in the Dollar Tree yesterday and they were putting out cards and decorations. I was talking to the manager and he said they were already hiring people for the Christmas season.

Yes around the 1st September alongside the back to school stuff and Hallowe'en, what a combination.

No not yet! They do have Halloween stuff out, but I am expecting the Christmas stuff to hit the stores any day now. They keep starting Christmas earlier and earlier every year, it takes the fun out of it.
