Yes when they reach sixteen or just before they recieve their national insurance number. If working they have to pay tax. No law on working 2pm until 10pm however there is a max for working so many days per week and have to have a break at some point.

As far as I know, yes if they are working full-time they pay taxes and they are allowed to work until 10pm. Unless the FLSA laws i have changed in the past few years. I started working when I was 15, and maybe laws just weren't enforced then but I worked ALOT of hours and paid taxes, Soc Security etc.

if you are working in full time employment and earning over about £4000 a year you will be paying tax, and you are allowed to work from 2 to 10pm, but under 18's are not allowed to work after 10pm at night and they must have a 12 hour break between shifts.

Anyone working a job has to pay tax. I believe 16 year olds can work till 10 but not past 11. I think when they are 15, they can't work past 8. You may want to check out your states labor laws.
