I don't care if the superbowl is on, nothing is more important than your girlfriend or wife. When she ask you to do something you don't say leave me alone. Grow up its just a game. When sports are in your life make sure you don't take her for granteed or she will leave you. Yeah you can find another girl but the same thing will happen if you keep the same pattern.

You talk as if there is never a time when you are doing something you want/need to concentrate on.
Unless the house is on fire or somebody is injured, why would you need to bother him during the superbowl?
Imagine you are at a major concert of your favorite musical group. You have waited months to be there. Your cell phone rings and it's a salesman wanting to sell you a gadget you don't need. Would that annoy you?
While I agree, your fella should be sensitive to your needs, you should also understand the excitement of this event that took months to come to.
If you will be honest with yourself, there IS something you do such that you do NOT like to be interupted. You need to get into the mind set or the spirit of what you are doing and if you get pulled away from it you have to start from the beginning and work hard to get back the mentality of what you were doing.
Maybe it just bothers you that you are not the center of his attention for that time period.
Let him enjoy his sports. If he really likes you, treasures you , he'll come to you when his games are over. If, you're worth having as a friend/sweetheart. You might even consider joining in the sports once in awhile. I know several women who have learned to appreciate the strategy and skill necessary to be a world class athlete.
Make him miserable and you will have an unhappy guy on your hands.

It is just a game, but it's not that serious. If that's the only thing that you can come up with to leave someone then you are probably the one who doesn't want to be in a relationship and are looking for anyway out. I don't think the real issue is that he is watching a football game but that you want more attention. Why don't you try to show interest in what he likes and you can enjoy the game together.

Everyone needs time for things that are just for them. I don't think it is unreasonable for a man to want to watch a game that he enjoys without being interrupted.
Now, if the house is on fire or the kids have to go to the hospital, yes, he should stop watching, certainly. If he is obsessive about sports, like there is one for every season that he must watch and it is taking entirely too much time away from the family then, again, yes, he should grow up and get over it.
Moderation and balance are the keys as with anything. Just remember that men need time away from us and their responsibilities so that they can breathe...it makes them easier for us to deal with !!

Men have a narrow window of concentration. When we are watching sports or for that matter anything we are intensely interested in we tend to block out all of the things going on around us not related to it. This is just a fact. If you want our attention wait for a break and then get it. Be nice though, otherwise we might have a hostile attitude and bark at you.

the game is only goning to be on for about 2 hrs.
we feel the same way when we go shopping with yall
bu shopping is worse because most women buy to many things

boys will be boys!!!! try and find one that doesn't have a hobby and you'll be wishing they did... be glad he is watching football and not getting into trouble...mine races cars! thats what he likes... i deal with it, because i love him... i don't bother him when hes messing with his car and he doesn't bother me when i am relaxing in the bath.
