Girl, you are talking my language. I am a very shy and reserved guy in real life. But on here, it is a whole other story. Great question!

You made me examine myself!!
I had to bring up some of my questions and answers to learn how to answer you.
I don't seem to word things any differently online than off. But I can understand that being protected by the safety of the internet might give a shy person the ability to really speak/type what they feel. On the net they are free to express openly without fear of being injured, intimidated, etc. That is probably good for the soul. To let someone out there know how you really feel, and who knows maybe by practicing open speech here, the shy ones will begin to devolope the courage to speak freely in public.

Well I dont feel the same but I don't pretend that I'm something I'm not since Ive gotten used to talking to the people I talk to on real life on the computer so when I talk to others, its still me!

I'm like you I'm shy! I find it very difficult when I meet new people yet I can chat away to anyone on-line! It's so much easier when you have a computer screen in front of you!

I find it a lot easier to speak my mind on the net, but I don't change into a different kind of person or anything like that. Nope, I like me.....

In person I would never speak to anyone unless they spoke to me first. Every time I say anything to anyone about anything I'm interested in they look at me like I'm insane. Not interested in talking about small talk and it seems like everyone's too paranoid to talk about anything else at a job and there isnt anywhere else I would go except maybe the library and no one's ever tried to talk to me there. Where would anyone talk about anything interesting if youre not in school; cant go to bars because alcohol gives me diarreah and I'm afraid of drunk people

I give longer answers in writing than I do in person, but I don't try to make an alternate personality for myself, just a fuller version of my real personality.

I am Jack's Rage. It is impossible not to. For one, you have time to think and edit. Do you behave differently in the show if you know someone is watching? Don't worry, it's just me.

well, at first, if I meet you in person I'm shy. If I get to know you, I won't shut up! But I definetly have more confidence online and I'm more blunt and to the point than I am in person when I'm online.

It's easier to get your point across here because no one is interupting you or giving you 'those looks' or yawning. It's easier to type when you can pause and think for a moment. When talking to someone, if you pause and think, they will start talking to keep the conversation going or they will just wait thinking you are retarded or something. Here I can usually spout my point of view without getting angry when someone interupts or tries to shout me down.
