Its so confusing shopping for these things, and retailers try to steer you towards the pricier items...any tips? Thanks

I found a cheap MP3 player that works really well. It doesn't play video but it holds plenty of songs and sounds great. The salesmen are just trying to get you to buy an expensive item so they get a bigger commission! Try here:

The difference is the name...everyone wants an iPod...because of the name. Its just an mp3 player. I don't think that they are any different than any other mp3 player.

girl, that's the problem that so easy to solved. in ipod you can store a thousand of music but in mp3 you can only store only hundred music. the price is different ipod is more expensive but mp3 is cheaper. girl, if you have money just buy the ipod.

ipods can play mp4 files is about it ~ that you get from itunes (though you can convert those to mp3 anyway)
more storage and features than 'some' mp3 players i guess
they just trying to get you to spend more is all

nothing much . you can just hold more songs on Ipods and they are skinnier but mp3 players are small aaand skinny evan though you cant hold as many songs!

I think the only real difference is the name.
Before you shop - scope out the 'net and figure out what features you want or need (like how many songs do you want on it), THEN decide what you want to spend.

ipod is better......in ipod u can play games record video....etc
in mp3 player u can here song but its loud thats good
so its hard to tell which one is better

they are both the same same. ipod was 1st recognized as famous branded mp3.

ipod = larger memory.....stores any sort of songs or file
mp3 = smaller memory .......only mp3 format files n songs
