1. don't go telling your friends because that's how rumors get started and that can lead to him getting fired..
2. don't try to act on it or give any kinds of signs because he could just be taking the friendly tactic by asking you how your weekend was and you can be setting yourself up for a big letdown which could cause your school work to flounder and school just started
I had a teacher like that, all the girls were crazy about him and were very open with it, we are all seniors and 17, 18 but he was still an employee of the school, not a student of the school and a bunch of rumors started flying about him with one of the girls & guess what, he was fired - he was a really good math teacher too
the girl that got him fired was then the public enemy of our school for getting the favorite cool teacher fired...

There's really nothing you can do about it. You go to class, act professional (so to speak) and do your work. And if the teacher initiates anything, then you need to tell the school administration because any teacher/student interaction outside of the normal school functions is inappropriate.
If you really truly like the guy, then your best bet is to wait a few years, until you're in college. By then you will be old enough to pursue a relationship with him, if you're still interested. But most likely, the crush will have passed and you'll be more interested in the college guys that you'll be going to class with.
As a sophomore I had a crush on my high school geometry teacher, Ms. K. She had the funniest personality, and she was definitely young (I think she was 26 that year) and pretty. But the crush passed, and by the time I was in Ms. K's calculus class as a senior, I was more interested in a junior I knew from another class.

Do yourself a huge favour - find a nice 18 year old. A teacher's career is destroyed if he/she has a relationship with a student. That means the teacher would either have to be very lonely and desperate or a complete idiot to have a relationship with a student. The teacher could wind up in jail. Find someone your age.

He may be young enough for you to date. But if you really like him you should stay away. Because it will ruin his life if he were to try to talk to you in that way He would lose his job and could go to prison. He would have to register as a sex offender, etc. bide your time, wait till you 18 and out of that school. Then see what happens it is only 2 years.

STOP RIGHT THERE, 99% of the time pupil-teacher fantasies are wild stretches of the imagination, You probably feel the way you do because you are trapped in with him, and the way he seems to talk and communicate with you
I have read about many people ruining they're ives trying to find love in a teacher or pupil. You'r often forced to give up your career or education and once you've started the process you can't stop it.

Even though your ages aren't really that far apart, you should definitely not persue anything with him because it would get him in a lot of trouble.
