Well a lot of woman experience more gas during this period it is quite normal.I feel for you i really do. i can say that staying away from certain vegetables might help, but in saying this i have to say this totally contradicts everything i believe in as far as eating plenty of veggies and fruits during pregnancy is very crucial and plays a big part in the development of your baby.I say if it is a very serious or uncomfortable situation that would be your best bet and possible staying away from certain other foods as well, you might want to do a little research to find out what those foods are.And remember healthy baby are happy babies so don't forget your prenatal vitamins. Due to the hormone level, gas can last throughout your pregnancy and besides being highly irritating its nothing to worry about. Some tips to alleviate the severity are:
-a daily dose of vitamin c tablets
-avoid onions, cabbage, beans, deep fried food and greasy saues (mayonaise etc)
-Avoid large meals, eat smaller portions throughout the day
-Avoid eating fast (when you aet fast you swallow air), take your time while eating and chew a lot
I hope this will help-good luck with the rest of your pregnancy

Women naturally have gas. Hell with my mother-in-law if I can find a way to run a line I could be a millionaire in a week. Thank god I still have my gas mask from the Army.

From my own experience, I did have a little more gas during pregnancy. I burped a lot, and took antacids. I also "tooted" a little more often -- but I just figured it was because the baby was sitting directly on all of my organs!

In pregnancy your digestion process slows down. This leads to more gas build up and constipation in some women. It's completely normal and i can tell you at 8 months, it doesn't go away.
If it starts causing you discomfort, ask your doctor about what you can do about it.

keep a close eye on your diet, which you are probably doing anyway. there are a LOT of foods out there that will make you gassy that most people don't even realize! and most of them we could REALLY do w/out anyway. ;-)
