I am ordering seeds online for a fall vegetable garden and I dont know what a pelleted seed is and whether it is worth the extra money.

Some very tiny seeds are pelleted (have a coating) to make them easier to see and handle. Some seeds are so tiny that breathing on them can blow them away! If you're very patient you don't need it, but it sure is helpful. Caution: it makes them round and they tend to roll around a lot!

It is a coating surrounding the seed for protection and makes it easier to handle and to sow.
