what is the differance between a notepad and a laptop dnt be funny about it and say a note pad is made of paper

Laptop and Notebook are the same thing.

Notepad is an application program in the Windows accessory folder, that handles just plain unformatted text.

I think you mean to say notebook rather then notepad. Notebooks are often thinner then laptops but due to over terming and branding attempts by various big corporations, you can often describe a laptop as a notebook and vice versa.

Bottom line they're basically the same thing, technically a notebook is lighter

It used to be notebooks (not notepads) are smaller and lighter than laptops. Now the difference is gone, and the words are used similarily. Different companies have different sizes notebooks or laptops.

well there's no such computer called a note pad, but there is a notebook.

I have a 1981 "laptop" they were big! Now portable computers are about the same size as a notebook

Laptops are awesome go with a toshiba there doing extremely well right now. They have the top selling laptop out there.
