Actually according to pictures in all of my pregnancy books a baby can be in a head down position as early as 28 weeks. My son had to be born at 29 weeks by emergency c-section, but he was breech. He is now a heatlhy 2 year old.

Babies will move around and tumble in your uterus for a while. Don't be scared. At about 34-36 weeks the doctors will feel around for the baby again, and a lot of times they switch position by then.

At my 28 week utrasound my child was head down, but i've felt him move around since then (i'm 32 weeks now).

If it really concerns you, ask your doctor about it. They'll be happy to answer any of your concerns.

I had a good friend have her baby turn at 39 1/2 weeks. Her Dr. had already had scheduled her for cesarian two days from that last ultra sound. She decided to wait it out and she went into labor the next day! Good luck!

Babies invitro move all the time, just because he is in birth postion now doesn't mean that he will be the next time you have another ultrasound. Really normal and nothing to worry about.

At 29 weeks there is lots of time for your baby to be moving around and repositioning itself. For your sake, though, I hope it moves before you deliver, because going through childbirth "spine to spine" is painful and prolonged. Most of these babies need to be forceps delivered.
