Generally, safety signs come with colour and geometric shapes and have meaning.
Yellow – Warning or caution purpose come with triangle shape having a black triangle band. Example: Corrosive, Toxic signs
Blue – Mandatory requirements or compliance action, shape is circle. Example: Hearing protection, gloves protection.
Red – Prohibition or used for prohibited action or activity, usually come with circular shape and a diagonal bar. Sometime, red colour also indicating fire safety where the shape is square or rectangular. Examples: No smoking sign (Prohibition), fire extinguisher, hose reel signs (Fire Safety)
Green - Indicate a safe condition, action or activity can be carried out; the shape is square or rectangular. Examples: Eye Wash / Emergency shower station, Exit sign.
