I'm grounded but I just HAVE to stay on Yahoo! answers. my mom isnt home right now but when she get's back what's a good excuse to get on!!

Be honest with her... there is no substitute for honesty. Sit down with her next to you, and show her how awesome y answers is and that you can actually help someone. If you are in trouble, I am sure HELPING someone is a worthy cause of getting back on the computer...
Good luck to you, and please, don't sneak, if you do, you will more than likely be caught. Dont add to the grounding by being dishonest!
AN AFTERTHOUGHT: after reading some of these answers, I had to comment on cuite's answer about AVG... AVG is the WORST free antivirus out there... TRUST ME, I had it on my computer for 6 months... and I could hear the virus in my slowing processor, so I changed to AVAST! and it found two viruses that AVG did not... AVG doesnt look for adaware, trojan horses or anything important... I just thought I would let you know, so you didnt try to talk your parents into ruining your computer!

Tell her that you forgot an assignment you had to do for school and you want to IM/email your friend to see what you need. Then tell her you want to type it on the computer. Make it seem like a big research project or something. That will buy you at least 1-2 hours.

just say your have to study about computers say your not talking to anyone just doin computer study lol and your learn a lot about compters here lol watch the way they all say get AVG ANTI VIRUS ITS THE BEST lol
