Kids that age LOVE sweet fruit, just grab some canned goods if you're not in the mood for cutting and peeling. Peaches and pineapple go over great. Cheese toast is another huge favorite. (I've worked daycare for years) Both those age groups will appreciate anything physical you have to offer them, balls in the yard, a playset with a slide, bikes, tag in the yard. They're both old enough to truly enjoy Playdough and a good coloring book also. Books might go over well, depending on the kids. Good luck!

Hide and seek, colouring. The same kind of stuff you did at that age. If they are girls my mom used to do this with us.... She would give us a shoe box and a Sears catolog and we would cut pictures out of the catolog and glue them into the shoe box to make doll houses. It is a great way to recycle and you can have a new doll house every couple of weeks.
As for snacks it just all depends what kind of food they like. If you are watching them at their house this shouldn't be a problem, their mother should already ahve what tehy like. If youa re watching them at your house talk to the paretns and find out what the kids like.

Cut up apple dipped in peanut butter
fruit cocktail
baby carrots

Activities will vary because of the age difference but crafts would probably be fun for both.
