myspace can be completely safe provided the user is careful about what information they put out for the general public to see. Most users under 18 are provided with private profiles as far as i know so only people they specifically add as friends can view their information to begin with. I know a lot of under 16 year old kids who love myspace. It is a great way to blog, express your interests, and keep in touch with friends (especially those you may not see on a daily basis) but if a child (or a parents who is helping their child) wants to use Myspace it can be safe so long as the proper precautions are taken and no personal information that may jeopardize anyone's safety is taken into account.
As for tightening restriction son Myspace's end, i don't think they are going t do much. Their target audience as far as i'm aware isn't the under 16 crowd. So i hope the above helps out some

To be honest I thought it was only for 18 and over until my step-brother had an account. I do think it should be restricted, but I really don't think it will You can make up what ever you want. Sad but true...there is a lot on myspace that is not good for a younger person to see, but there is some good to. I guess if a parent monitors the account. I would not be bad...
Also if you have parental restrictions on your PC some peoples myspace wont come up.

Myspace can be fun, but on the other hand it could be very dangerous.
Sexual predators and creeps are so abundant on that site. You have to use discretion there and I guess on any site. But yes there should be tighter restrictions on what is allowed and what age you can be to even start an account!

now 8 yr olds are gazing at hardcore full actions how much each appreciates is different. i am told they do try live at home.
80 yrs are addicted for they have no other work.
so what exactly is your cut off point? can u implement? tighter???!!!
i go to myspace and certain Y!Ans for the erotic titillation the qns and the ans give, and often disappoint.
ive stopped myspace waste of time for the effort and the zero lust.

Anyone can have a MySpace account.
They just have to lie about their age.
I know people who do.
There are dangers in everything.
Teach your children self-respect.

it is all in good judgement.. i mean if you dont want the person under 16 associating with everyone Make them have their Profile Private.. and if they dont know the person dont talk back to them ...
