A lot of people do not understand Canada, though closer to the Artic than US is, does experience its moments of summer and spring and fall; it is not always cold and icy and snowy. So they generalize, and go from there.
I actually dated a guy back in HS who lived in Toronto, and where we met was actually in Ohio for a conference. I was from Arizona, and he lived in Canada. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum here. Anyhow, one of the gals we were talking with one night who was from Florida asked him what it was like living in such a cold, snowy place. And him and his awesome humor came back and stated, "Oh it is great! You need to come by sometime and meet my pet moose that I keep in my backyard!" LOL See Canadians can play the game right back, and do it well. Actually it was funny, I did not buy the joke...and he knew it. But the girl did for a moment, she actually believed he had a pet moose in his backyard! LOL
It is just comes to show, we cannot generalize where someone lives just by the country they live in.

I'm from the southern US and chose to move up here with you guys for awhile. I haven't seen any igloos but it is getting cooler. I've found that you have a very nice country.
