help with yeast infection?

went to doc about yeast infection-got it from antibiotics i was perscribed when i cut my finger a few days prior. doc gave me 2 rx diflucan. told me to us monistate. i canmot use monist. it burn like hell i have to wash off immididately. anyway i have small cut near clitoris on lips. doc saw and just said use monst. what else can i use.? i have abrand new tube of betamethasone dipropionate 0.05%, whats it for?How can i heal the cut ans relieve itching?help.oh ya iam usin 100 % natural insetrs for yeast infec.i found at walmart. no burn, but no relief yet and useing three days now.

I wash properly! If you read all my qustion, i got this type of infection from an antibiotic!!!

If you are using the monistat external cream and it burns, you don't have to use that. Plain, unsweetened, no flavor yogurt can be applied to the vulva to alleviate the itching and discomfort. A *tiny tiny tiny* amount of polysporin applied in a thin layer over the cut area can be applied for a day or two to help with the healing.

If you are using a seven day pack of yeast infection inserts, it could take the full seven days for relief. Though if you've taken both the Diflucan tablets you should be having some relief by now. I would advise calling your doctor if on Monday you are still feeling the same and asking what s/he suggests.

sounds like a urinary tracht infection. classic symptoms! drink lots of water and have a glass of cranberry juice every day, my urologist told me i could never take tub baths again ,so i am committed to only have showers. guess what? i havent had any more infections. a yeast infection is very uncomfortable as you have severe vaginal itching and a white discharge. you dont usually get this unless you are sexually active. if your symptons dont clear up you need to re-visit the doctor. sometimes they put you on an anti-biotic that is called broad spectrum until they get the results back from the lab, then they will know exactly which medication will work. hope this helps you till you see your doctor.

1st are you sure it's Only a yeast infection?
2nd douching with mild solution of apple cider vinegar does wonders for all types of infections.
especially if you add 1or 2 drops of Strong's Iodine Solution to the douche ( caution no more than 2 drops and none if you are allergic) Also is an odor eliminator--

saline - salt water is very good at getting rid of a yeast infection. it will sting a bit but not too much. Keep bathing the affected area in salt water for a few days and it will go away.

mycelex works good if you cannot use monistat. Diflucan takes a few days too i have found when you got the yeast from antibitoics. Id axe the 100 natural inserts also, they may be the cause of your itching, just because its natural does not mean you cant be allergic to it. Good Luck.

Are you applying the cream correctly? It should be inserted inside your vaginal opening, not outside or on your labia. If you are doing it correctly, "wash off immididately" wouldn't be an option. Also, try taking Acidophilus pills and eating yogurt to prevent future yeast infections.

the vagina has a balance of bacteria and yeast in it, so when the antibiotic killed more of the bacteria it makes sense that you ended up with a yeast infection. please listen to the nurse that answered your question, and disregard the idiots that tell you to douch, this will only make matters worse

I got one from antibiotics too. Monistat burned like hell with me too, so I used 100% plain yogurt. Its kind of messy, but it worked.
