Unfortunately it's not always that cut and dry. There are people who are truly bi-sexual. Not just to be kinky but they feel mutually attracted to both sexes.

Usually a professional counselor can help you figure out what you want to do as far as your sexuality goes but don't feel as though you have to choose. It certainly is easier to be a straight man in this judgemental society but it has opened enough that you can find areas in the states where you can be yourself and not put labels on it.

Good luck and be true to yourself.

Dude u are probably straight. Although lots of people are somewhat attracted to people of the same sex, if like u said, u don't want a relationship whit a male u aren't bisexual. If u would consider a relationship or any other sexual activities whit a man, u are bi but this much I can assure u of, If u are attracted to woman u are definitely not Gay.

U should remember that u are still young and the feelings u have fore people of the same sex aren't necessarily sexual attraction. I hope u find yourself.
Best of luck.

First of all, 17 is WAY too young to know what your sexual orientation will be for life... so RELAX! :)

Secondly, most people who are "bi" are a long way from being gay. Being attracted, at some point in your life, to members of the same sex DOES NOT MEAN YOU'RE GAY. People who are TRULY gay are interested in LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS with members of the same sex. This doesn't seem to be your case.

Many people, both boys and girls, go through a period of being attracted to the same sex during their teens and early 20's. It's not only about curiosity (you've only recently come into your "adult" body and it's normal to want to experiment with your sexuality), but in many cases, same-sex sexual encounters are nearly as intimidating as those with the opposite sex. Both boys and girls feel, perhaps, that they can experiment more easily with the "kinky" side of sex with a same-sex partner, without the trappings of romantic love. This isn't necessarily the most healthy pattern to become wrapped up in, however, so think carefully before you decide to. It can easily translate into a fear of intimacy, and if you continue down that path it could easily screw up your ability to have close, intimate relationships with members of the opposite sex later on.

Whether you choose to act on your fantasies or not, please be careful and practice safe sex. HIV is not the only STD that can harm your health.

Hope this helps. :)

this is a question where there is no really good answer. It's something you'll discover as you mature more. When you see a guy that your attracted to do you think to yourself " Gee, he's good looking" or is it more like " Damn, he's hot, I would like to see him naked" If it's the latter you probably have gay tendencies but doesn't necessarily mean you gay,may be a phase your going through as many young men do. When I was 15 I had the same issue which was settled when I had a sexual experience with my best friend. I liked what he did to me but didn't find it satisfying doing things to him. With a girl it's totally different, I enjoy a women's body. I'm not suggesting you try it with a guy but it worked for me.

It's generally based on sexual attraction. If you are sexually attracted to both males and females, you're bisexual. If you merely want a relationship with females but don't consider them sexually desirable, then you're probably a homosexual who's just been influenced by heterosexuals.
