W E L L .... Yes, all chimneys make a noise but it is a quiet noise.. and NOTHING that should be distracting.. The noise should be NO MORE than that of a microwave when you operate that.

Well, they do make some noise. But if it is louder you might not have fixed it properly or your chimney needs replacement

Chimneys also have fans inside. The fans have moving parts, viz., ball bearings. Grease the ball bearings. The noise will fade away.

...the chimney in the kitchen will make noise dear, as the blower has to work fast to to suck the steam from your cooking.....however if you have blower towards the end of the exhaust pipe the noise will stay out.....
