Usually male turtles are larger, have a longer tail, and longer nails than a female turtle. It is generally safe to house turtles together. They are a docile creatures and usually get along just fine. Keep an eye on the turtle when you first introduce them to each other just to be safe.

Sexing small turtles is tough and not usually accurate.

Sharing the tank is fine as long as it is big enough.

They will start breeding at about 4-5 years old.
