I want to purchase a Tennis Racquet. Any suggestions?

Anything about tennis racquets I should know before purchasing one? Any information or helpful links would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think you can buy one at any store that has items based on sports. I think you can even find them in local stores,but i think more likely you won't. So I would try any store or shop that is based on sports. You know that sells branded shoes, gym stuff, fishing, and almost every sport. Good Luck. And do you want to become a tennis player? Or do you want tennis as just a hobby. Well whatever it is, I think you will be really good at tennis!

My first tennis racquet, given to me used by a relative when I was about 7 years old... never really suited me and I didn't do well in the sport until I was in my mid teens and could afford to buy a racquet that fit me... physically and emotionally.

You wouldn't buy a pair of shoes without trying them, would you? Well, then you don't want to buy a tennis racquet without trying it first.

Go to a GOOD Sporting Goods store with someone knowledgable in the Tennis Racquet section and have them help you make a selection that best suites your needs and abilities.

Try to demo several racquets before trying to purchase one. Some online store like http://tenniswarehouse.com/ & http://holabirdsports.com/ allows you to do that. The amount you pay to demo the racquet goes toward the purchase of one. A store called Golfsmith allows you to demo tennis racquets also.
