can you tell when someone is lying to you? what are the dead giveaways?

by listening 2 two people tell you their side of the story.. my daughters bf will tell me things and i check it all out with my daughter and pick through it.. by being there with your mate when things happen and then listen 2 your mate tell what happened 2 someone else and see if his story matches with what really happened.. try and pick up body language.. some people will tell the truth if they have 2 lie 2 do it.. and if they are good at it, you may never know they are lying..

The classic symbols of lying are not being able to look someone in the eyes when you are specaking to them. Another sign is constant touching of the face, around the nose, area specifically.

People will tend to look up and to the right if they are fabricating an answer. If they look up and to the left, they are searching their memory for the answer to the question asked.

This is not exact. It has been observed by others that people who are left-handed may use exactly the opposite "clues" as above.

Usually I can tell by lack of eye contact....alot don't remember what they've told so it's easy to catch them up later....and some don't realize that it's so easy to see what's really going on as long as you are paying close attention, which I do...I like to see how far they will go though :)
