Even though it's a CD-RW it doesn't work the same way as a hard disk. All CDs are read only so when you write a file it becomes read only.
You can use an application like DirectCD which uses emulation to make a CD appear to behave like a hard disk, your file will still become read only but you'll be able to rewrite it. If that makes sense!

I have two burners, a Samsung and a Dell. Both require that you format the CD/RW before copying data files to it.
Additionally, each requires that if you wish to take the CD to another PC, the receiving PC must have it reading program. With Samsung, which is powered by Nero, it is "Easy Write Reader," with Dell, it is DLA.
I think you will find life with PCs a lot easier if you invest in flashdrives. They have really come down in price and act like a floppy.

I also save PowerPoint presentations onto CD. Great as an emergency backup. But unfortunately, with current technology you can't 'modify' a CD's contents as RAM (although the technology will no doubt evolve soon!). This why they're called a CD-ROM (Read Only).
With a CD-RW you can only 'reburn' new information already formatted within an external program, such as PPT.

You can use programs like roxio or nero and install udf readers(depending on OS and computer) then you can format your CDRW and drop and drag your folders just like in Windows explorer that is the only way .Nb.installed it on Xp had some problems have not botherd to check why ,but in my W98it worked well.So if you able to format than you can change your atrb.
Take care!
