The release date for the PS3 has been pushed back many times already, but the current information is that it will be out in the Japan first on November 11th and in the united states on November 17th. As for everyone else they are going to have to wait until march of 2007 for the PS3, due to a shortage of blue-ray disk players and the fact that for every 100 cell processors only 10-15 of them are graded good enough to be used in the PS3. Also the units that will ship to the u..s.a and Japan will be limited at first to only 500,000, this is short of what they said they would have at the e-3 show. But Sony has said that it is going to still have over 4 million units out by the end of march 2007. So don't be to upset about the delay, the ps3 is so revolutionary and is so complicated that it is taking longer to get it right, they are pushing the envelope with this new system, anyways with so few units even shipping to the us and to japan, it is sure to be shortages here in the U.s.a. I'm sure I'll have to wait at least until January or February before i can get my hands on one myself.

November 2006 Worldwide. This was confirmed at the PlayStation Business Briefing 2006, where a lot of information was finally revealed. A Spring 2006 launch was the original plan from E3 last year, but problems with finalising Blu-ray copyright protection specifications delayed the launch.

You mention the price in euros, so I presume you're European. This console has been delayed several times already. Last wednesday Sony released a statement saying the European release date has been pushed back to late March 2007. If it is delayed AGAIN, I predict an actual launch date of the 12 of never.
Check out the sony release date on its official website

The PS3 has been delayed from November 17th 2006 till March 2007, but no official release date has been given as of yet for march. There is of course the chance that it could become delayed again.

PS3 is rumored to be out by the holiday season earliest, the good versoin of it with all the cool hardware will cost 600$(U.S.) and 400$(U.S.) for the low qual. version. I have a 360 and its decent, but i think im just going to get the new Nintendo with the console only costing 250$ and the new awsome controller its probally going to sell more then the PS3, or it may not, time will tell. (Wii is schedueled to be released at earliest this holiday season as well)
